Chris Clark’s first race of the year – the opening round of the 2023 MotoAmerica Junior Cup at Road Atlanta – has ended with the talented teen racing to seventh and eighth in the weekend’s two lap races. Qualifying thirteenth, Clark fought hard on Saturday’s opening race crossing the line seventh. Sunday once again saw him in the thick of the action. His race pace on Saturday was considerably faster than twenty-four hours earlier, the #27
Leaving Round 1 seventh overall in the standings, Clark is motivated for further improvements and another two strong races at Round 2 in Alabama. Chris Clark:
“Overall I am happy. We had a good weekend in Atlanta. Practice was good but we had a difficult qualifying. Thanks to my team they set up the bike really good for the race and I was able to come back from thirteenth to seventh and then thirteenth to eighth in Sunday’s longer race. I am really excited for Round 2 at Barber in a few weeks.”
