Another battle and another Baggers podium for Travis Wyman at Laguna Seca

Travis Wyman delivered a powerful performance in Mission King of the Baggers Round 5 at the legendary Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, taking second place and closing in on the championship lead.

Wearing his Bilmola RC-1 in black for the Baggers, Travis made light work of hurling his 620-pound Screamin’ Eagle Harley Davidson Road Glide across the iconic California track and home of the “Corkscrew,” one of the toughest turns in motorsports with a blind crest and apex and sharp 60-foot drop in elevation. Travis dominated practice and qualifying on Saturday to put himself in pole position for Sunday’s race.

Travis went into turn one in third at the start of the 8-lap race and got straight into a bruising battle for second. As he worked to find his way through, his brother and teammate Kyle was able to take advantage and build a lead at the front. Travis muscled through with a bold move on lap 5 and, despite battling with rear grip and throttle problems, got clear and made second place his own, finishing 2.5 seconds ahead of the man in third.

This race was another superb result that put Travis just one point off the top of the championship standings. With the next round coming up fast on July 29-31, at the Brainerd International Raceway, Minnesota, we won’t have to wait long for the next installment!
