A fast but tricky start to Baggers season for Travis Wyman at Daytona

Travis Wyman was fast, but frustrated this weekend, as the 2023 MotoAmerica season got underway at the iconic Daytona International Speedway. With new technical regulations coming into force for the Mission King of the Baggers class, the official factory Harley Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Team had teething problems that kept Travis out of freepractice, and then mechanical gremlins that brought both his races to an early end.

Despite missing crucial early track time, Bilmola’s flag bearer came out strongly in qualifying to put hisRoad Glide on the second row. In Race 1, he got away with the leading group of four machines, which pulled clear of the rest of the field. He was in second place on the final lap when his engine blew and brought out the red flag. In Race 2, an apparent clutch problem at the start brought his race to an end after the first two turns.

The main positive to take away from the first of MotoAmerica’s 10-round season was Travis’s winningpace on the orange liveried Road Glide. And check out his new for 2023 custom Bilmola RC-1. It wassomething special too!

Round 2 is coming up on April 21-23 at Road Atlanta.
